Mental Health Case Considerations for Attorneys, a California State Bar approved class, is a 1-hour self-paced online class, approved for 1 credit of competence issues training.
We start by discussing the similarities and differences between the major types of psychological diagnoses, review evidence-based best practices for working with individuals diagnosed with a mental health disorder, and see how the use of Mental Health Case Considerations can inform your work through a review of four case studies.
In Case #1, you'll learn about how an individual who shared no history of mental illness, actually had a long-standing untreated mental illness, exacerbated by a second diagnosis, resulting in the events that led to criminal charges. The case was ultimately diverted.
The cost is $49.99. You'll receive access to the video-course (for three-months), the PowerPoint, and CSB Evaluation Form, which are available on our drop-down menu as soon as you create your account and purchase the course. As soon as you email the CSB Evaluation Form back to us, and we verify your attendance, we'll send you the CSB Certificate of Attendance for your files.
"I participated in Dr. Aclufi's Mental Health Case Considerations for Attorneys class and was captivated by her articulate pedagogical delivery of complex mental health diagnoses. Furthermore, the insightful delivery of several dynamic case studies put theory into practice in a way that was both compelling and digestible. It's evident she's a strong and sophisticated advocate for justice for all. Thank you, Dr. Aclufi!"
